La settimana appena trascorsa e’ passata velocissima in universita’ il lavoro diventa sempre di piu’ e le giornate si riempiono come niente. In particolare ora sto imparando ad usare Energy Plus il manuale e diviso in 6 capitoli, quello introduttivo e’ 80 pagine mentre il secondo che ho “appena” iniziato spiega come inserire i dati nel programma ed e’ lungo piu’ 1500 pagine...
In settimana sono andato a parlare con un prof. che insegna programmazione a quelli di informatica per sapere se facesse anche Java, mi ha detto di no ma mi ha regalato 2 manuali nuovi di pacca per studiarmelo da solo... Da febbraio si parte anche con Java...
Ho iniziato anche correggiere i report del laboratorio che ho tenuto prima di natale... il prof mi ha detto di farlo facile ma ora, che tutti lo hanno fatto quasi perfetto non vuole che tutti prendano il massimo... vedremo...
Week end passato all’insegna del gemellaggio Italia-Turchia, ero con Ufuk (ragazzo turco che ha iniziato il dottorato in settembre) sabato pub a vedere la partita di Heineken Cup di rugby che equivale alla Champions League di calcio. Giocava la squadra locale, il Munster [nome della regione a sud ovest dell’irlanda] contro i campioni in carica dei London Wasps. Il Munster ha vinto 19-3 eliminando gli inglesi... vi lascio immaginare il casino nei pub!
Oggi pomeriggio e sera a casa del turco con cena Italiana (catering costa) interessante scambio di informazioni... quante cose nuove sulla tuchia... tipo che a 14 anni hanno un esame che e’ determinante per il loro futuro universitario (prima era a 11, ma con gli standard europei e’ stato posticipato), ne hanno poi un’altro altrettanto importante per l’universita’ dove per entrare c’e’ una selezione altissima... tutta l’eta’ scolare e’ vissuta sotto pressione con corsi extra durante le vacanze e i week end per prepararsi a questi esami... ovviamente solo chi se li puo’ permettere ha questo “vantaggio”... PAZZESCO!
In ultimo sta mattina tornanto da messa sono incappato in una macchiana BERGAMASCA con tanto di autista bergamasco della val seriana... mi ha detto che l’ha fatta tutta in coda da Dalmine... sara’ vero?!?!?

The week has passed very quickly, at UCC the work is increasing and the days are getting busier. Now I am basically learning a software of energy simulation (Energy Plus).
I will start in February to learn Java… and for that I have received as a gift 2 new manual from a lecturer of computer science department. I have also started to mark the lab report that the student handed up… is not easy to evaluate them… the lecturer asked me a easy report and now doesn’t want everybody with an high mark… we will see.
I have enjoyed the weekend with Ufuk (Turkish guy, who has started the PhD for 5 months) on Saturday we went to a pub to watch the Heineken cup match between Munster and London Wasp (the winner of last year) The Irish beaten and eliminated the English… I let you imagine how where the pubs yesterday night!
Today I was in Ufuk’s place near the CIT, where we had an Italian dinner (catering costa) he told me a lot regarding the Turkish school system… because they are too many young people the start the selection for the university with an important exam that was at 11 years old and now (thanks to the European standards) has been moved to 14. Anyway they pass a childhood under pressure having private courses in preparation to these exams instead of the weekends and holidays… obvioulsly they are quite expensive so the selection is substantially economically based… what a shame!

PS if you are curios you can find on the clog the interview that I had for an Italian radio program (La Banda) that calls the Italians abroad… I sent an email and 1 week later I was live on the radio broadcast.
